Zombiepalooza is The Cary’s annual ZOMBIE SHORT FILM competition and outdoor celebration. Submissions are open to filmmakers and residents in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Zombiepalooza is free to attend.
KIDS COSTUME CONTEST
Kids (17 and under) are encouraged to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes. Prizes will be awarded for Best Halloween Costume at the beginning of the program. Registration is required for the costume contest as spots are limited.
SHORT FILM COMPETITION
Watch a collection of zombie-themed and family-friendly short films (under 5 min.) made by filmmakers of all skill levels that include creative use of this year’s prop a Rubik’s cube.

7:00 PM: Kids Halloween Costume Contest Registration (required) & Brain Eating Contest (Great Lawn Pavilion)
7:30 PM: Kids Costume Contest (Great Lawn Pavilion) – Must be registered.
8:00 PM: Zombiepalooza Short Film Competition presented by The Cary Theater (Great Lawn Pavilion)
8:30 PM: Zombie Musical Chairs (Great Lawn Pavilion)
8:45 PM-9:00 PM: Awards Presentation: Audience Award for Best Zombie Short (Great Lawn Pavilion)
