Built in 1946, The Cary property was once home to the town’s first indoor movie theater, which hosted live performances as well as films. The property was also used as a clothing store, auto parts store and recording studio. Now the marquee lights up Downtown Cary with the mission of providing a unique setting for cinema and live performance to enhance the cultural arts experience in Downtown Cary.
The Cary offers independent films, music, and live performance including comedy and improv!
The Cary is owned by the Town of Cary and operated by the Town of Cary’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources.
Hours of Operation:
The Cary opens one (1) hour prior to each event. The Cary is closed on all official Town holidays.
