This event is a special, early screening of a ROUGH CUT of the GENX documentary. The filmmakers will join the audience to gain feedback and help shape the story before its debut in 2026.

A team of North Carolina natives led by have followed the PFAS contamination crisis for the past 8 years since the news first broke about ‘GenX’ and other PFAS in the Cape Fear River. This investigative journey has taken them all over the country to explore how the environmental crime that polluted our state is actually part of a global problem. The filmmakers have been able to follow nearly every angle of this story to show the real solutions, highlight the incredible groups in North Carolina who have made change possible, and share a hopeful path forward for the future we all deserved.

This is a story of passion, innovation, resilience, and how communities standing up have brought billion dollar industries to their knees.

Because this is a free event and is likely to be sold out, tickets that have not been redeemed 10 minutes before showtime will no longer be valid. Remaining seats will be distributed to the wait-list on a first come first served basis.
