Have you always wanted to make a short film, but haven’t really known where to start? This two day workshop covers the fundamentals of the filmmaking process, from ideation to completion. Participants will leave with a strong idea ready to develop & move forward in creating. The workshop is designed for new local filmmakers, those early in the craft & creative journey, or young and early storytellers – it aims to help take those dreaming of their idea towards a structured plan of action to bring the film to life.

In the workshop, we will explore:
  • Pre-production basics
  • Filmmaking logistics & roadblocks
  • Production best practices
  • How to think like an editor
  • Camera angles/shot composition
  • Project development & timelines

Participants should arrive with an idea/story in mind.
