Reserve your free ticket online! The Dream Revisited: Civil Rights in Perspective, a film by Charles and Mary Love, asks viewers to look back at where we’ve come from and forward to where we might be going. The 34-minute documentary film demonstrates the energy and courage of those who paved the way in the civil rights movement. Inspired by the vision of Martin Luther King Jr., the filmmakers, after establishing an historical context with archival footage and imagery, interview some of today’s opinion leaders, community organizers and other citizens to inquire “How much progress has been made?” while using Martin Luther King’s vision as a moral reference. Their objective is to inspire reflection as well as constructive discussion and involvement in contemporary civil rights issues. A question and answer session with the filmmakers will follow the screening. Will call tickets may be picked up at The Cary Box Office beginning one hour prior to the movie.
