Emily Scott Robinson

A signature blend of storytelling and Americana roots

“It’s only right that John Prine’s Oh Boy Records put out Emily Scott Robinson’s album American Siren, because the Colorado songwriter has some of the late master’s flair for narrative wit and wisdom. Robinson’s pure, lilting voice is a great vehicle for describing scenes of intense conflict…Like Prine, Robinson can devastate with a simple description of something ordinary.” ~Rolling Stone

Join us in celebrating the release of Emily Scott Robinson’s brand new album, a deeply personal and soul-stirring collection of songs that showcase her signature blend of storytelling and Americana roots. This special event will feature a live performance of songs from the new record, performed in an intimate setting where Emily will share the stories behind the music, her creative journey, and the inspirations that shaped the album.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to her music, this is a rare opportunity to experience Emily’s powerful songwriting and captivating voice up close. Come be part of this milestone moment and celebrate the launch of a record that promises to leave a lasting mark.

The Barefoot Movement

Original songs and reimagined cover tunes

“With groups like The Barefoot Movement on the scene, the future of bluegrass is in safe hands.” ~The Daily Country

The band officially formed in North Carolina in 2006, after front woman Noah Wall met mandolinist Tommy Norris in high school and discovered a convergence of aligned passions. That initial crackle of intensity never waned and instead became the force catalyzing the band through its various iterations. Today, the Barefoot Movement is comprised of Noah Wall — whose powerhouse vocals, songwriting, and fiddle playing serve as the backbone of the band—mandolinist Tommy Norris, and upright bassist Katie Blomarz rounding out their unique blend of charming, modern roots music.

The Barefoot Movement integrates bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, country and pop into music that’s delightfully fresh. Shows feature original songs and reimagined cover tunes with tight three-part harmonies and hot instrumentals.

Rachel Sumner and Traveling Light

Diverse love of pop, classical, country and everything in between

Though Sumner has roots in both the bluegrass and classical worlds, this is true-blue singer-songwriter folk through and through, too: achingly clear, and wide open to the world, with twang and tenderness enough to carry us through the fire of an unusually difficult year.” ~Cover Lay Down

Rachel may be best known as the former guitarist and singer-songwriter from bluegrass string phenom Twisted Pine, but it is in her recent venture as a solo artist that we are beginning to fully recognize her dynamism as a writer and performer. Whether she’s fronting her new band of lush, low-voiced strings or appearing with only a guitar, you’ll be mesmerized by her elegantly intricate arrangements and captivated by the delivery of each and every word. Rachel is both a Willie Nelson and a Patsy Cline of indie-folk-writing the heartfelt but catchy songs and conveying their emotional complexity with candor and an achingly beautiful yodel. It is her diverse love of pop, classical, country and everything in between that she draws upon to synthesize into her own unique sound.
