You’ve sat through 100 PowerPoint presentations at work. You’ve seen some really entertaining karaoke. What happens When These Two Worlds Collide? Tickle your funny bone and test your improv skills at our newest event: PowerPoint Karaoke (no singing required!). A few “professional” improv masters will be joined by volunteers from our audience for an evening of laughs. How it works: We announce the topic of the evening and each speaker will have 5 minutes in front of our audience to give their best off-the-cuff presentation. The catch is that they will have to incorporate 10 random, nonsensical, and unrelated PowerPoint slides into their delivery without missing a beat. This year will feature four PowerPoint Karaoke flights and a Grand Championship at the end of the year. The panel of judges will choose the top two competitors to move to the Grand Championship and you, the audience will make a people’s choice winner that will also advance to the Championship! To participate: Come early – and sign up in the lobby of the theater to have a chance to compete! Quick thinking, quick talking, and quick segues are the order of business as we enjoy our speakers’ (panicked) attempts to stay on topic while dealing with surprise after surprise! Let the silliness commence!
