Headliner: Karen Morgan
Karen Morgan was born and raised in Athens, Georgia but now calls Maine home. A former trial attorney, she began her professional comedy career as a Finalist on Nickelodeon Television’s “Search for the Funniest Mom in America.” Since then, she has performed in comedy clubs and theaters from New York to Hollywood.
Karen’s latest CD “Mean Candy” can be heard on Sirius XM Radio, and her comedy special can be seen on Dry Bar Comedy. Her TV appearances include comedy shows and ads for companies like Wal-Mart and Zyrtec. Karen’s clean shows in Performing Arts Centers around the country have made her a favorite among theater audiences.
Still licensed to practice law in Maine and Georgia, Karen’s humor brings laughter to many corporate events and fundraisers for charitable organizations. She lives in Cumberland, Maine and misses Waffle House very much.
Feature: Nancy Witter
Nancy Witter started performing stand up comedy at New York City’s famed Don’t Tell Mama in 1996 where she became a regular at the multi award-winning show “The Poole Party” for over 10 years. She went on to win 4 New York City MAC Awards for outstanding female comedian. She was also a finalist in “Nick at Nites Search for the Funniest Mom in America”. Nancy teamed up with two other finalists and toured in the hit comedy trio “Mama’s Night Out” performing in sold out theaters across the country for more than five years.
Nancy went on to attend NYU and received her professional certification in life coaching. Nancy drew on both her comedic skills and life coaching experience to write “Who’s Better than Me? A Guide to Living Happily Ever After”. Nancy’s is a coveted humorous Motivational speaker performing her funny yet inspirational speeches across the country. She is also a sought after comedy coach and has helped many up and coming comedians punch up their acts, and find their comedic voice. It is her passion to see others thrive and go after their dreams.
In 2019 Nancy was crowned Senior Ms. New York America, and had the honor of being second runner up in Ms. Senior America at the National Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Nancy along with Ms. Senior America, Nancy appeared on the Rachel Ray show. It was a segment that highlighted fun and useful tips for seniors and the Ms. Senior America pageant as a positive organization for women over 60. Nancy has relocated to Wilmington where she continues her comedy career, along with her motivational speaking, and comedy coaching.
