Join host and indie film fan, Glen Haley, as he revisits the best of independent film from various decades. We kick off our inaugural series with the 2000’s. This decade brought us iconic work from Sophia Coppola (Priscilla, The Virgin Suicides), Alexander Payne (The Holdovers, Election), and Wes Anderson (Asteroid City, The Grand Budapest Hotel), introduced us to the feature film directorial debut of Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees, The Woman King), and reminded us of the quirky genius of Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep). Haley will lead a pre-film discussion sharing insights and personal reflections on each film. Arrive early for the preshow talk (complimentary movie snacks provided) and experience some of the best in independent film.
Doors open at 1:30 pm. Preshow Talk begins at 2:00 pm.

SYNOPSIS:
While attempting to sabotage the local power plant, freeloader Jerry (Jack Black) accidentally becomes magnetised and wipes all of the videos at the Be Kind Rewind rental store. The store owner, Mr Fletcher (Danny Glover), is already facing closure and now the few customers he has have nothing to watch. When one regular asks for `Ghostbusters’, acting manager Mike (Yasiin Bey) and Jerry cobble together a 20-minute remake using an old camcorder.
