The Triangle Filmmaking Community is joining with The Cary to present the Motion for Pictures Screening Series. Beat the summer heat and megaplex overload with another evening of award-winning short films from across the globe!  Funny, heartbreaking, and at times even psychedelic, this lineup has raked in dozens of accolades in festivals from Tribeca to Cannes.  The show starts at 7pm, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.  Don’t miss this chance to see the best short films in the world on the big screen! Present your tickets at Crosstown Pub and Grill after the show for a 15% discount! Films are not rated by the MPAA.  Some films contain adult language. FORD CLITAURUS An aspiring artist struggles to find his voice, his sexual identity, and the meaning of creativity. THAT ONE DAY Intimidated by casual, macho sexism, a 17-year-old girl living outside of New York City stumbles across a gang of charismatic, fearless skater girls. HELPLESS Leah confesses her true feelings to Chayse in the library at school, while terror lurks in the hallways. ONE-MINUTE TIME MACHINE James is all too eager to put his one-minute time machine to use in winning the heart of Regina, until he discovers the unexpected consequences of his actions. AFTER YESTERDAY An elderly man struggles to connect with his granddaughter amidst loss and early signs of dementia. DARK NOIR Years ago, ideas were stolen from the mind of an artist by a mysterious woman. The artist tracks down VINCENT BLACK to help him find her, a man who can see the immaterial world where ideas come from. CHEROKEE A young girl fascinated by Native Americans inadvertently takes on her mother’s anger and lands them in a sticky situation.
