Zombies will once again rise downtown at The Cary Theater. We’re excited to bring you the 3rd annual Zombiepalooza, featuring local filmmakers’ zombie short films on a huge outdoor screen downtown. This event is FREE!
Bring the kids for a family-friendly FREE night of zombie cinema and cosplay. Dress as your favorite horror character, or channel your inner zombie rebel and be a part of our costume contest! Our neighboring bars and restaurants will be open, and there will be Twinkies for everyone to help create a downtown Zombieland.
Local filmmakers and hobbyists have been invited to get creative and tell their own Zombie stories in one to five minutes. Filmmakers range in age from teens to older adults, using all types of cameras, including smartphones. The common theme… ZOMBIES. Imaginations run wild! As always, there’s one required element every filmmaker must use. This year it’s the traffic cone. So keep your eyes peeled for at least one visible in every film.
This year’s films and teams include:
|“People Are Dead Wrong About Zombies”||Olivia Bagley & DarK Bolt|
|“Quality Time with the Z Family”||Dina & Charlie Huffman & Moonshadow Films|
|“Blood and Brains”||Eric Ayscue|
|“Children of the Gate”||Cameron Bertolini & Frontgate Films|
|“Chop & Shop”||Vincent Dormani & Buried Hatchet Productions|
|When Evil Comes”||Julia Gallert|
|“Missed Call”||Michael Pearce & Screaming Eagles|
|“Gang of Cones”||William Whitehurst|
|“Day of the Living Phil”||Joey Wendt, Max Williams, Kevin Steele & That’s Show Business|
