This month’s Indie 101 celebrates the 1989 Oscar-winner by Giuseppe Tornatore. A filmmaker recalls his childhood when falling in love with the pictures at the cinema of his home village and forms a deep friendship with the cinema’s projectionist. Screening takes place Dec. 16 at 7p.
Indie 101 is our monthly interactive film series hosted by a local film enthusiast, who introduces the film and provides perspective on the film’s production, release, and impact. After the screening concludes, attendees are invited to stay for a film club style open discussion. All perspectives are welcome.
