Stage Screenplay Reading – Free Ticketed Event

BEYOND: The Film Festival will highlight all aspects of filmmaking, featuring a screenplay writing competition (length – 30 minutes or less).  The theme for this first year is “Hometown Stories.” The screenwriting competition, also for short films, is based on the same theme and will explore the foundational aspect of filmmaking – the script.

The winner of the screenplay competition will get a table read to feature the script hosted by the Cary Playwrights Forum.

CPF-Logo-and-Title-Banner4The Cary Playwrights’ Forum’s mission is to help playwrights and aspiring playwrights of Cary and surrounding areas in North Carolina to develop as dramatic writers through educational workshops, regular feedback sessions with other playwrights, actors, and directors and the opportunity to collaborate with allied artists in periodic staged readings or productions of their original work.



Will call tickets may be picked up at The Cary Box Office beginning one hour prior to the movie.
